I love SMF and TinyPortal, and I think that I can use it to do everything that I am already doing on the FireHawk Games Website. However, converting from Wordpress to SMF is not going to be an easy process.

I have found a method of (somewhat) easily converting the forum posts from bbPress to SMF, and that part will be (relatively) easy. But there is no way to easily convert the pages across, or to convert other specific portions here and there. The sheer volume is the main potential issue.

I have 124 news posts on the website. So, before I do anything, I want to make sure to add them to the forums over there. Once I do that, I can use the board I put them on as my "front page" source, which is exactly what I do here, with my News items bing in a read-only board.

As for the other pages, I have 490 individual pages. There is the Errata/FAQ page, there is the Novus TOC (with linnks to every section from that book), and lots more as well.

So, I will be spending a few weeks copying everything over to here, so that I have it all as a backup before I start the conversion process. And I I do so, you will start seeing the pages show up over here. Some things might look wierd or seem broken, but that is only because I am currently working on figuring out how to properly display them or to get them working.

For example, I am currently converting the Errata/FAQ page to work on SMF/TinyPortal, and this morning, I figured it out, so I will be spend the next while bring them over and letting them work here.
